A Forest Acres man is in the custody of Forest Acres police after a hostage situation was resolved early this morning.
The incident began with a marital fight in a home in the 3000 block of Dubose Drive some time before 1:30 a.m., police Chief Gene Sealy said. Around 1:28 a.m., a 911 caller reported hearing shots in the house.
Responding police officers heard at least one gunshot and cordoned off the house, Sealy said.
A short time later, the man's wife and a boy and girl under 10 exited the house unharmed. The husband, identified as Raymond B. Twork, 30 or 31, stayed in the house, creating a standoff.
After about three hours of negotiations, Twork left the house and was placed under arrest, Sealy said.
