The sea plane service gets off the ground strengthening the future of the Tourism Industry.
The sea plane service for tourists arriving in Ampara from Peliyagoda and Koggala commenced yesterday. The plane carrying the first tourist group landed on the Konduwatuwan tank in Ampara yesterday, marking another milestone in the growth of the tourism industry. Initially the sea plane service will be limited only to a handful of towns. However, the service will later be extended to cover many tourist attraction locations. Such a service could make a vital contribution to the government’s task of making Sri Lanka a tourist resort.
