Deyata Kirula ends today

Today is the final day of the Deyata Kirula Exhibition. Hundreds of thousands of people are expected t to visit the exhibition today.

Minister Anura Priyadharshana Yapa visited the exhibition today. He said that an exhibition of this nature would raise awareness about the assistance extended by the Government to develop the rural areas.

Meanwhile a large number of people visited the ITN media booth at the exhibition grounds. A musical show will be held tonight marking the end of the exhibition.

Meanwhile a musical show organized by the ITN was held at the Deyata Kiriula Exhibition grounds yesterday to mark the media day.

The talent of child artistes in Uva Province who have won in the singing competition organized by the ITN was displayed at the show. Pinsara Pasindu of Dutugemunu school in Buttala was adjudged the Best Male Singer.

Sanjana Devindi of Haliela Vindya Vidyalaya was adjudged the Best Female Singer.

More than 7000 children participated in the competition. Several Ministers and Parliamentarians were present at the award presentation.

Youths from the North received an opportunity to participate in the cultural show at the Deyata Kirula exhibition grounds. Minster T.B. Ekanayaka viewed the show presented by the youths from the Vavuniya Cultural Centre.
