Fifty new companies are expected to invest in the Stock Market this year.
Director General of the Sri Lanka Securities and Exchange Commission Malik Cader said a minimum of 50 companies will invest this year in the Stock Market. So far the trend has been around 14 new companies investing annually. It is expected that the number will rise due to the political stability and economic planning. He said foreign companies will also be provided the opportunity to invest in the Stock Market in the future.
