Comprehensive investigations are continuously being carried out on tiger terrorists who entered Canada from the MV Sun Sea vessel.
The Canadian Government has initiated legal action with regard to the vessel which entered Canada in August last year, carrying 492 Sri Lankans, including LTTE suspects. In addition to 380 men and 63 women, there were also 49 children. A group had already been released after investigations. 107 still remain in detention camps. 32 of them are being accused to working in cohabitation with the LTTE outfit and engaging in various crimes. Another 45 are accused o engaging in human smuggling. It has been consolidated that some of those in custody had been involved in newspapers which were published in Kilinochchi under the LTTE terrorists. Some who had served under them has also been identified. The Canadian Government said that inquiries in relation to all of them are continuously being carried out.
