A Townville woman has pleaded guilty to stealing $1.2 million from the car dealership where she worked.
U.S. Attorney Bill Nettles says 34-year-old Lara Marie Nance pleaded guilty in federal court Monday to wire fraud.
Nettles says Nance printed unauthorized checks from Land Rover of Greenville and deposited them into accounts she'd set up at several banks.
Nettles says Nance used the money to buy about 16 cars from other dealerships that she then resold cheaply to friends and family.
Nance will be sentenced later. She faces up to 20 years in prison and $250,000 in fines.
