Minister Wimal Weerawansa called upon the people to be united and work towards owning a house in the same manner terrorism was defeated.

He said that a proper house is an essential socio development factor. It is a pre-condition for development. Economic development cannot be achieved under any model without fulfilling this requirement. He said that 1.2 million families in this country do not own a proper shelter.
