Minister Maithripala Sirisena has said that the Opposition Leader has still not given up his habit of undermining the country internationally.
Addressing a United People’s Freedom Alliance news conference today, the Minister said that the Government was concerned over the speech made by the Opposition Leader at the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association sessions in Colombo. In his speech he had made unwarranted and unfounded statements on the internal problems of the country to the participants. The Minister emphasized that it was not proper for an Opposition leader to make such statement. He added that a major task is vested in the Opposition leader when he was making statements during such international parleys.
