Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne has said that religious co-existence in Sri Lanka is a fitting example to the entire world. He was addressing a ceremony marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
Addressing the functions, the Prime Minister referred to the vision of Prophet Muhammad. He emphasized that his vision provided guidelines which are of significance to the development of the country.
The ceremony was organized at the Davatagaha Mosque in Colombo. Parliamentarians Thilanga Sumathipala and Ravi Karunanayake were among those who joined in this event.
