1.6 billion rupees will be allocated to renovate the Irrigation Systems damaged due to floods.
The Finance Ministry said that this decision was made after carrying out a complete study of the damaged irrigation systems. The preliminary investigations have shown that nearly 500 main tanks have been destroyed. Majority of the tanks are located in the North Central and Eastern provinces. The Irrigation Ministry has deployed a special team to renovate the tanks. The report indicates that 500 million rupees has been allocated for the initial work.
