UNP victory is a dream – Minister

Deputy Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardena has said that the victory of the UNP which is split into four factions, in the local government election is only a dream.

The Minister pointed out that the UNP has returned to its old party symbol of elephant after using many other symbols. He said that now the elephant is split into four. One faction is of Ranil Wikckremasinghe and there are others of Sajith, Ravi and the independent group. The UNP was now saying that the party reorganization to elect a new leader will take place in April. They can participate in the game of musical chairs as well as the Sinhalese New Year will be nearing. He stressed that the UNP has no future. The Minister was addressing at a meeting in Kalutara to ensure the victory of the UPFA candidates.
