The Asian Regional Conference of the Commonwealth is being held in Colombo. Today is the second day.
The meeting opened yesterday. Representatives from countries such as Bangladesh, Brunei, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Maldives and Sri Lanka are participating. It is themed “Youth Job Opportunities for Investment.” The aim of the meeting is to expand entrepreneurship and job opportunities as well as vocational training, maintaining international cooperation. Deputy Minister Duminda Dissanayake, Secretary to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Skills Development S.S. Hewapathirana and many local as well as foreign representatives were present at the opening ceremony. The meeting will end tomorrow.
