SC man gets 15 years in hit-and-run death

A Bluffton man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to two felonies in the hit-and-run in the death of a 2-year-old girl.
The Island Packet of Hilton Head reports that 43-year-old Ildefonso Adame was sentenced after entering the pleas Tuesday.
Authorities say Adame's blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit when his Toyota Camry stuck a Ford Explorer on Hilton Head Island Oct. 3. Abril Suarez of Hardeeville died. Three others in the Explorer were injured.
After the accident, authorities say Adame kept driving for several miles. Another driver followed him and described his car to police.
Adame pleaded to felony hit-and-run causing death and felony driving under the influence. He had faced up to 50 years.
