Three people have been charged in connection with the theft earlier this month of six laptops from a Wal-Mart store.
Anthony George Washington, 43, and Charles E. Walker, 39, face property crimes charges while Tonny Jackson, 43, has been charged with shoplifting in the Feb. 9 incident at the Wal-Mart on Forest Drive, Columbia police announced Wednesday.
Investigators allege Washington and Jackson distracted an employee while Walker removed six laptops from the store, according to a news release.
Washington and Jackson turned themselves in Feb. 17 to Columbia police, while Walker was arrested Monday by Bamberg County Sheriffs deputies. 2-21. All are being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
