Indian fisheries representatives will arrive in Sri Lanka to solve the problems related to the territorial waters amicably.
The Indian Foreign Ministry said that the Tamil Nadu Fisheries Organization has made the decision in order to enter into an agreement after holding discussions with the fisher community in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka and India have always been close friends. This friendship has to be preserved at sea as well. Indian Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao said that the expectation of the Tamil Nadu fishermen is to foster mutual corporation. The Indian government believes that this would help to strengthen cooperation between the two countries and promote fisheries activities.
