SC farmer reports 20,000 chickens die in hot house

Florence County sheriff's deputies are investigating the deaths of 20,000 chickens at a farm in Scranton.
The Morning News of Florence reported the owner reported that someone turned off the ventilation fans Sunday in the facility where the chickens lived. Capt. Mike Nunn says most of the birds inside suffocated.
Nunn says the owner estimated his loss at $12,000.
