The Second Stage of the DFCC Mind Star Sinhala Programme which a very successful reality show, is being launched.
The DFCC Mind Star Programme which directed the art of Reality TV Programmes to a new direction, was launched in May last year amidst high response from TV viewers. Prizes were awarded in millions of rupees after the selection of competitors at the regional and provincial levels and be subjected to several questions. Four competitors succeeded in winning one million rupees each in the first stage. The sum awarded for to 76 winners exceeded 15 million rupees.
The Second Stage of this Reality Programme will kick off on Saturday with the joint collaboration of ITN and the DFCC Bank. 225 competitors will participate in the second stage throughout 35 weeks. One million rupees each will be offered as a cash prize to five special schools after the selection of talented children from National Schools through the conduct of examinations. It has received the nod of the Education Ministry. The introduction of the second stage took place at the Galle Face Hotel yesterday
The Agreement for the launch of the Second Stage was inked by ITN General Manager Aruna Wijesinghe and Chief Executive Officer of the DFCC Bank, Nihal Fonseka. Many Senior Official of ITN including Chairman Rosmund Senaratne, Chief Executive Officer of the DFCC Vardhana Bank Lakshman Silva and Senior Officials of the DFCC Bank were present.
