Minister Wimal Weerawansa has pointed out that the masses had placed trust in the Government as it had the capability of achieving all targets which were claimed to be difficult to reach.
The Minister emphasized that the Government headed by the President had been able to materialize work had been rejected. He underlined that the Government will complete work on the one million Jana Sevana Housing Programme within the next six years.
The Minister was speaking at the launch of construction of the Sinhapura Housing Scheme at Baseline Mawatha in Borella. The allocation made for the project which will be handled by the Housing Development Authority, is 200 million rupees. The four storied building will have 60 units each with a space of 500 square feet. The Scheme is due to be ready by October this year. Parliamentarian Thilanga Sumathipala and Western Province Minister Udaya Gammanpila were present.
