Gov. Nikki Haley said her just-announced memoir will focus on her 18-month campaign to win the S.C. governor's race.
The proceeds will go to charity or a non-profit organization, she said.
While writing a book almost has become a requirement for candidates planning to run for higher office, Haley said at a press availability Tuesday that the memoir should not be taken as a sign that she has her sights set on higher office.
"There was a lot of requests and a lot of people who wanted to know how we got through the campaign process, the challenges we went through," Haley said. "It's therapeutic. It's a great way to get a lot of the feelings and emotions out of what the last 18 months have been.
"Everybody wants to know how we got to this point. It's a great story to tell."
