Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe has today (9) asked in parliament if the government has raised the issue of LTTE camps being operated in Tamil Nadu with the Indian government.
Wickremesinghe posed this question to the government in parliament during the debate to extend emergency regulations.
The question was posed following a statement made by Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne that Indian intelligence reports have revealed that three LTTE camps were secretly operating in Tamil Nadu.
Wickremesinghe asked as to the action taken by the government with regard to the revelation.
The Opposition Leader also told parliament that the UNP supported the extradition of former LTTE international wing leader Kumaran Pathmanathan alias KP to India over the charges of assassinating Rajiv Gandhi.
