Dilshan doping rumour is a spook story

Claims that Sri Lanka all-rounder Tillakaratne Dilshan has been tested positive with a banned substance have been strongly refuted by Sri Lankan officials and the team’s vice-captain, Mahela Jayawardene.
This emerged at a Group A World Cup 2011 pre-match media conference at the international cricket venue near Kandy on Wednesday.
Jayawardene laughed it off when asked whether a claim by an Indian media source earlier in the day had any truth. It was suggested that it was a "spook (rumour) story" designed to upset the Sri Lanka team and players on the eve of the game Thursday against Zimbabwe.
"(What I can confirm is that) we have had two players tested. Dilshan is not one of them," he said. "The players are Ajantha Mendis and Chamara Silva. I am not too sure about where this story has come from but there is no truth in it."
