Power and Energy Minister Champika Ranawaka today (10) said that the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has earned a profit of Rs. 5 billion for 2010.
He told a press conference that the CEB recorded staggering losses amounting to Rs. 115 billion for the 2000-2009 period.
Ranawaka said that the CEB was not a profit oriented venture, but would be converted to a commercially viable institution in five years.
