Nurses from Sri Lanka will be absorbed into Kuwaiti hospitals.
A group of 250 nurses from Sri Lanka will be serving in the hospitals in Kuwait. The first batch consisting of 30 nurses met Minsiter Maithripala Sirisena at the Ministry before leaving the country for Kuwait. The group consists of nurses who are trained in the maternity wards, ICU, Accident ward, surgeries and in paediatrics. The Minister said that arrangements are underway to send several more batches to Kuwait. The Minister also presented appointment letters to 17 principals of Nurses Training Schools.
