A Chinese delegation has arrived in the island on an official visit. The members of the delegation will be in Sri Lanka for four days.
The Chinese team arrived at the Katunayake International Airport today. During their stay the members of the delegation are slated to meet President Rajapaksa, Prime Minister Jayaratne and Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa. The aim of the visit is to further firm up economic, social and religious ties between the two countries. The team is visiting the country on an invitation extended by the Speaker.
