An S.C. state trooper was injured Wednesday afternoon in a car wreck on Farrow Road.
Trooper Matt Anderson was traveling toward I-77 when he saw someone pass in the opposite direction who was committing a traffic violation, said Richland County Sheriff's Department spokesman Curtis Wilson. Anderson switched on his blue lights and made a U-turn across the median to pursue to the other car. However, the driver of a third car was speeding and hit Anderson as he made the U-turn, Wilson said. Both drivers were taken to a Columbia hospital of non-life threatening injuries, Wilson said.
The name of the other person transported to the hospital and other details of the accident were not available.
