Britain has appreciated the rapid development taking place in Sri Lanka. Britain said it is prepared to send leading investors to expand investment opportunities.
These details surfaced during a meeting the High Commissioner to Britain and Ireland John Rankin had with Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne. The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s office. During the meeting, the High Commissioner said that more than 100 thousand Britons had visited Sri Lanka last year. Even many investors from Ireland are willing to make investments in Sri Lanka. The High Commissioner pointed out that during his tour of the North, it was visible that Sri Lanka was treading on a new path.
