Radio personality Tom Joyner is visiting South Carolina to remind residents of the importance of filling out census forms.
Joyner is stopping in Columbia on Monday to broadcast his syndicated morning show from 6-10 a.m. from the Drew Wellness Center.
Joyner says he wants to make sure that South Carolina residents stand up to be counted. From May to July, census takers go to homes that haven't mailed back forms. So far, the mail participation rate for the 2010 census is about 63 percent.
Joyner is taking this tour to 14 cities across the country, from Shreveport, La., to Miami. The tour wraps April 16 in Baltimore.
Joyner visited South Carolina in October, when he successfully won a posthumous pardon for two great-uncles who were executed in the state.
