The TNA has said that the aspirations of the Muslim community in the country needed to be addressed when presenting the solution to the ethnic issue.
TNA parliamentarian Mavai Senathirajah has told parliament that the party had even raised the issue during its discussions with the government.
He has added that the late S.V. Chelvanayagam had also accepted the right of the Muslims to self determination and had also included in the Vaddukkoddai convention.
According to Senathirajah, the Muslim IDPs in the North have to be resettled along with the Tamil IDPs.
