The National Child Protection Authority (NCPA) has decided to establish a National Child Protection Policy (NCPP).
The NCPA has said the policy framework would be developed with the assistance of local and foreign non-governmental organizations.
NCPA Chairperson, Anoma Dissanayake has told the media that everyone involved with children would be held responsible for their actions with no room for irresponsible actions once the policy is put in place.
The NCPA has stated that although the policy has been included in the NCPA Act No. 50 of 1958, it had not been established by the Authority up to date.
