The Colombo High Court has ordered that former Army Commander Sarath Fonseka’s private secretary Retired Captain Senaka Silva, who has been granted bail be presented to court on April 1.
The Court has reportedly ordered that Silva be presented before courts on April 1.
Colombo High Court Judge Deepali Wijesundara had given the order when Silva’s lawyers had informed the High Court of the bail granted by the Court of Appeal two days ago.
The Court of Appeal on Monday ordered Silva’s release on a cash bail of Rs. 100,000 and asked Silva to surrender his passport to courts and report every last Sunday of the month to the OIC at the CID.
The Court of Appeal also asked Silva’s lawyers to inform the Colombo High Court of the bail granted to Silva.
However, the Colombo High Court has asked that Silva to be presented before court to take up the matter.
