Minister Keheliya Rambukwella says pressure exerted on Libya going against UN Charters cannot be endorsed. The Minister was clarifying the Sri Lankan Government’s stand attacks unleashed on Libya at today’s Cabinet news briefing.
The Minister said that as a Government it did not endorsed genocide. It was not a question as to which side was committing this crime. Killing of people and traumatizing them politically cannot be accepted. Sri Lanka do not agree whoever hinders the sovereignty of another country. The Minister described the attacks on Libya as surpassing the mandate given to the United Nations.
