The government has blamed last week’s fuel price hike on the crisis in the Middle East.
Petroleum Industries Minister Susil Premajayantha has told parliament today that local fuel prices have been increased due to the internal crisis in Libya.
Premajayantha has said that once the crisis in Libya is resolved, the fuel prices would also see a decline.
The government last week increased a liter of 90 Octane Petrol by Rs.10 and a liter of Auto Diesel will by Rs.3. The price of a liter of Kerosene was increased by Rs. 10.
