Officials from South Carolina's FBI office are offering information on how the Internet and technology are used to spy on the United States.
The FBI on Wednesday is hosting a conference on cyber vulnerability at the Columbia Conference Center.
Organizers say speakers include representatives from the FBI's Cyber & Counterintelligence Division as well as the National Security Agency's Information Assurance Directorate and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service.
Attendees are learning about how cyber crime is used in acts of espionage on the United States. Organizers are expecting more than 200 people, including U.S. Defense Department contractors and members of academia and the intelligence community.
