LankaeNews News Editor Released

The Kaduwela Magistrate’s Court has today released the News Editor of the LankaeNews website from remand custody.

Kaduwela Magistrate, J. de Alwis has today released LankaeNews News Editor Bennet Rupasinghe on a personal bail of Rs. 300,000 and cash bail of Rs. 10,000.

Rupasinghe was warned not to obstruct the police investigation by the Magistrate.

The case has been fixed for June 7.

Rupasinghe was arrested last week for allegedly threatening the brother of one of the suspects in custody over the arson attack on the LankaeNews website office in Malabe.
