A hotline has been announced for consumers to lodge complaints if any injustice has been caused from shops in the Colombo City.
The hotline is 0112 67 61 61. The Colombo Municipal Council says that action with regard to such complaints will be taken within half an hour. Complaints can be lodged with regard to the sale of expired food items, levying high charges and the sale of contaminated items. Complaints can be made on this hotline from 8.30 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.
