South Carolina law enforcement officials say a 21-year-old man has confessed to killing his own 9-month old son and the child's great-grandmother during a domestic dispute near Manning.
Clarendon County Sheriff Randy Garrett says Jayden Carraway was killed in his high chair while eating breakfast on Wednesday. Garrett says the child's 59-year-old great-grandmother, Maxine Griggs Carraway, was shot and killed while trying to call for help.
Garrett says the two were shot with a 12-gauge shotgun.
The sheriff says Justin Jeremiah Johnson confessed to the killings and was in the Clarendon County jail Thursday. He says Johnson is being charged with two counts of murder and hasn't asked for an attorney.
Garrett says Johnson is also being charged with the attempted murder of 21-year-old Kaisha Tiera Carraway, the child's mother.
