The Richland County Utilities Department is suggesting that Franklin Park residents boil their water prior to drinking it because of a water line break.
The break might have allowed contamination of the water supply in the Hopkins area. Customers who have experienced a loss of pressure should boil water for one full minute before using it for cooking, drinking or making ice.
The warning will be revoked once lab tests can confirm there is no dangerous bacteria in the water supply.
