The Richland County Sheriffs Department is investigating two weekend crimes involving guns.
Deputies are describing one incident as a home invasion after two men armed with handguns entered a home Saturday evening on Longbrook Drive off Decker Boulevard. The men robbed a family of jewelry, including rings and a necklace, said Deputy Curtis Wilson, a department spokesman.
In the second incident, two men were charged with attempted murder after they fired shots at a house on Roselle Drive, off Broad River Road. Deputies caught the suspects after someone inside the home gave investigators a description.
Jimmy Emanuel Dessaure, 21, and Leroy Marquis Atchison, 20, are each charged with three counts of attempted murder and were being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center, according to jail records.
