The Indian Government has called for a report on Indian companies which to not provide medicinal drugs in time

India’s High Commissioner Ashok K. Kantha sought a report from the Health Ministry on the Indian companies which had violated tender procedures and supplied low quality medicine so that legal action could be instituted against them. He made the request during a meeting with Minister Maithripala Sirisena. The Health Minister drew the attention of the Indian diplomat to a shortage of drugs mostly because of some Indian companies fail to meet the tenders on time. Attention was also drawn to the supply of low quality medicine. Ashok K. Kantha requested the Health Minister to submit a report on Indian companies which are accused of these allegations.
