South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley's application for her former job isn't sitting well with the Democrat she beat to win office.
The Herald-Journal of Spartanburg reports that Camden state Sen. Vincent Sheheen accused Haley of lying on her application to work for a medical center in 2008.
He made the comments in a speech to Spartanburg County Democrats on Monday, rattling off other GOP missteps that included former Gov. Mark Sanford's ethics violations and Republican Treasurer Thomas Ravenel's drug charge.
Haley spokesman Rob Godfrey responded that Sheheen hasn't gotten over his November defeat.
Haley has said she didn't fill out the application. The document has been questioned because it listed Haley's earnings from a previous job as much higher than what her tax returns showed.
