The Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission is targeting the completion of its report by the 15 of next month.
Media Spokesperson of the Commission Lakshman Wickremasinghe said the Commission has commenced preparing the first draft. It is being prepared on the evidence received and analyzed by the Commission. The Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission has held public sittings in the districts of Jaffna, Batticaloa, Mannar, Trincomalee, Vavuniya, Matara, Ampara, Moneragala, Galle, Matara, Puttalam, and Anuradhapura. The Commission concluded its public sittings last month.
President Rajapaksa appointed the eight-member Commission in May last year. It is chaired by the former Attorney General C. R. de Silva.
