Plans are afoot to inject new life to the Hingurana Sugar Factory after 13 years.
The installation of steel blades needed for the resumption of production at the Hingurana Factory commenced today. Accordingly 1424 steel blades were installed at the main boiler for the operation of the steam turbine with high pressure. The value of these steel blades imported from India is 1200 million rupees. Under the first stage, the processing of imported raw sugar will be carried out in September this year. Thereafter it is anticipated to produce this sugar and release to the market. Accordingly with the launching of production at the Hingurana Sugar Factory, nearly 7000 direct and indirect jobs will be generated.
