Apr 22, 2011 11:08:22 AM - itnnews.lk

Multi Religious leaders have strongly condemned the report of Ban Ki-moon’s private advisory panel.

The Ven. Prof. Kumburugamuwe Vajira Thera said that the UN Secretary General has released this unreasonable report under pressure from LTTE conspirators with the intention of putting Sri Lanka into difficulty. He described the effort of releasing such reports and put the country in jeopardy at a time when it was being developed after defeating terrorism, as a national crime.

Rev. Far. Sarath Hettiarachchi said that as religious leaders, they were calling on the entire nation to organize themselves against the interferences made by the UN Secretary General. He said the nation should rise up against them and express their opinion against the alien forces including Ban Ki-moon. He said the people should express their support to the programmes mooted by the President for the development of the country.

Kurukkal Ramachandra Babu Sharma pointed out that it is incorrect for Ban Ki-moon to release such reports without practically studying the eventualities. He said they condemned such reports vehemently.

Moulavi Hassan Moulana noted that they totally condemned the incorrect report of Ban Ki-moon with the intention of vilifying Sri Lanka’s image.
