The Colombo Magistrate’s Court has permitted the Criminal Investigations Department to detain and grill the LTTE suspect who was arrested in connection with the bomb attack on a bus at Kebetigollewa.
The Court permitted to detain and interrogate the suspect who was taken into custody on charges of killing civilians unleashing a bomb on a bus at Kebetigollewa in the year 2006. Submitting a report to the Magistrate’s Court, the CID said that they further needed time to grill the suspect. The report said the information obtained by interrogating the suspect will facilitate the future inquiries. Chief Magistrate Rashmi Singappuli after considering the report permitted the CID to detain the suspect for a further 90-day period for grilling.
