The counsel appearing for former Army Commander Sarath Fonseka in the controversial “white flag” case has added two more witnesses to the case.
The new witnesses are External Affairs Ministry Secretary Karunathileka Amunugama and parliamentarian Prof. Rajiva Wijesinha.
It is said that the report by the panel of experts appointed by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on Sri Lanka is to figure in the white flag case.
The case was taken up at the Colombo High Court yesterday. However, the hearing was postponed for May 12 as the senior counsel Nalin Ladduwahetti who was appearing on behalf of Fonseka is currently overseas.
