Two men already facing multiple charges after a Thursday morning police chase stemming from a home invasion now face sexual assault charges in the case.
Anthony Deon Kelley, 26, and his brother, William Albert Kelley, 22, were taken into custody by police after a chase on Bluff Road late Thursday morning. The men jumped out of the car which had been stolen from the Rosewood home where the invasion and sex assault took place and fled on foot, but were quickly rounded up, police said.
The men are accused of breaking into a Deerwood Street home between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. Thursday, sexually assaulting an 88-year-old woman who lived there, stealing various items and taking her car, police said.
Around 10:30 a.m., law enforcement officers spotted the stolen car on Shorecrest Drive and tried to stop it. The driver, Anthoney Kelley, tried to hit police cars, rendering the Acura undriveable. When the brothers tried to flee, they were captured and arrested.
The men were taken into custody in Bluff Estates, a community off Bluff Road east of I-77.
