Richland County Sheriff's Department investigators hope someone in the Midlands will recognize the faces of two people suspected in stealing nearly $9,000 in jewelry from a Northeast Richland store a week ago.
Around 7:30 p.m. May 4, a man and woman entered the store. One, a female shopper, tried on rings as the other, a man, told a clerk he needed to get is identification from his car to open a credit account. Shortly thereafter, the woman dashed out of the store with merchandise and climbed into an older red Ford vehicle. The tag number was not recorded.
The store said the woman took a diamond band and two diamond rings.
The pair are wanted on charges of grand larceny.
