The trial for a man suspected of raping a Peru State College student has been postponed until fall.
A Nemaha County district judge moved 29-year-old Joshua Keadle's trial to Sept. 13. It has been scheduled for next month.
Keadle, a suspended student originally from Swansea, S.C., has pleaded not guilty to sexual assault, false imprisonment and terroristic threats in the alleged assault of the student on Halloween. The charges were filed after his arrest in the disappearance of Tyler "Ty" Thomas, who was last seen leaving an off-campus party on Dec. 3.
Nemaha County Attorney Louie Ligouri has said Keadle is the only suspect or person of interest in the Thomas case. Charges have not been filed.
