The Nugegoda District Court has today put off the case filed against the appointment of main opposition UNP’s National Organizer Ravi Karunanayake till June 6.
The petition challenging the appointment filed by UNP Southern Provincial Councilor and Attorney Maithri Gunaratne was take up today at the Nugegoda District Court.
The petition has cited 75 respondents including UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Lawyers appearing for Wickremesinghe had said the party leader challenged the petition, but had requested for more time to respond to it.
District Judge Champa Janaki Rajapaksa had then given time for the respondents till June 6 to submit their responses.
