The Ministry of Finance has drawn several plans for the welfare of the families of the valiant soldiers who have made the supreme sacrifice or become disabled.
Deputy Minister Geethanjana Gunawardena said that its their duty to strengthen the Ranaviru Seva Authority fund and increase the services provided by it to the families of the soldiers who released this land for us.
The Deputy Minister expressed these views at a media briefing held at the Ministry of Finance in view of the Ranaviru Month. Representatives of Government organizations working for the welfare of the soldiers said that they would strengthen and carry forward the special welfare projects. The National Lotteries Board, Development Lotteries Board, National Savings Bank, Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation and Housing Development Authority are amongst them. Chairman of the Ranaviru Seva Authority Padma We’ttawa and the officials of the Finance Ministry participated in the occasion.
